What is an AI Olympiad?

An AI Olympiad is a competition where students use programming, mathematics and machine learning to solve problems with data.

It combines theoretical understanding with practical work: developing models, evaluating results and explaining technical choices.

IOAI: the international competition

The International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence brings together secondary-school students from participating countries.

National teams take part in AI challenges. Each country organises its own preparation and selection process.

MOAI: the Moroccan programme

The Moroccan Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence prepares students in Morocco and organises the national selection pathway for IOAI.

The programme is organised by the Moroccan Association of Mathematical Sciences. It connects preparation with national selection. The selection rules will be announced separately.

Lessons, practice problems and contests are being prepared.

  1. Python & data

Functions, arrays and data handling. Load a dataset, inspect it and write a reliable baseline.

  2. Mathematics

Linear algebra, probability and statistics. Understand the calculations behind your models.

  3. Machine learning

Regression, classification and validation. Compare models without leaking test data into training.

  4. Deep learning

Neural networks, computer vision and language. Train, evaluate and improve models for more complex tasks.

National selection

Register your interest, prepare for the entrance examination and follow the selection updates. The number of selection rounds and their dates will be announced on the selection page.
